Property Law

Property law deals with the right of use, control and disposition which one may lawfully exercise over things, objects, or land. Immovable or fixed property includes land and things permanently attached to the land as opposed to personal property. Applicable acts are, inter alia, Alienation of Land Act, 1981, Formalities in Respect of Leases of Land Act, 1969, Restitution of Land Rights Act, 1994 and the Development Trust and Land Act, 1936.
